1 Corinthians 12:7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.
We all have a gift. Mine specifically, (well at least one) is writing. God has gifted me to see things in a way that others don’t, and then put them on paper. He has gifted me, through the pen, to be a voice for those who feel like they don’t have, or haven’t developed. He has granted me the wonderful gift to be able to breakdown His Word in ways that help others understand.
As humans, we all have our struggles, I am not exempt. For me it is pure torture when I am not able to write. One thing that has prevented my pen from flowing is the knowledge that the feelings of others can be attached to what I write. To give a little more clarity, I have been instructed by God to write TRUTH. Something that you’d hear me say often is that, even if what I write is not true to my life specifically, it is still true to life. The inspiration for these truths can come from observations of others, She Wants To Be Loved as an example. Others are inspired by my personal life, while others originate from God dropping that subject in my spirit. But no matter how it comes, or how creative it’s delivered, it’s truth
Due to the notion that the feelings of others are linked to my pen, in addition to that, there are some things about myself and my life that I feel others, perhaps myself also, are not ready to handle, I am tempted to sugar-coat my words. But in doing so, I am not be true to myself, craft, and gift. So if I can’t be honest, I’d rather not write or speak.
Still, when one considers, 1 Corinthians 12:7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other, one is overwhelmed with responsibility. “So we can help each other”, speaks volumes. With all that God has given me and the reason that He gave it to me, I MUST get beyond myself. We MUST get beyond ourselves. We never know the effects of our doing or the lack there of. We never know who is impacted but how we use our gifts. I have been placed under heavy conviction today. I was instructed to write, not be derailed by feelings. I was instructed to be a help to others through my gifts, just as you were instructed to be a help to me through yours. Let’s be a benefit to our world and community but gifting our gifts to others and watch a transformation take place!
Love you, Be Blessed!
