Growth VS Comfort

Growth and comfort can’t exist in the same realm.  It really is an either or situation.  Either we are stagnant in our comfort zone, or we’re in a state of discomfort because growth is present.  The paradox is, we have the option to be as stubborn as we desire by staying in our comfort zone.  Though that doesn’t stop the process and/or progress of growth.  If we think about it, none of us are still wearing the same pair of pants, shoes, or shirts that we did in elementary school.  Can you imagine the discomfort?  Can you imagine the unnecessary pain that would cause our bodies to endure?  At some point whether we make the decision or the decision has to be made for us, we will have to part ways with our comfort zones.  The pain is too much to endure!

Tell Me Something Good

Our day is dictated by our attitudes.  So on this morning, let it begin with speaking something positive.  So often times we down play the power of spoken words.  I challenge all of us to speak something that will bring a smile to our day.  I then challenge all of us to say something that will bring a smile to someone else’s day.  The light that radiates in your life comes from within.  Allow the positivity that is inside of you to come out.  I guarantee you’ll have a better day than you ever imagined.

So often times people and circumstances desire to dictate where we go in life.  So often times we allow that dictatorship over us.  But there comes a time when we’re fed up and won’t be dictated to any longer.  With that frustration, a plan must be drawn up.  A plan must be put into action.  A plan must be revised to better fit the course that we long for.  Take time to think of how you want your story to end.  Allow your plan and choices be the vehicle that takes you to were you want to be.  You are in control.  Be the author of your story.  Let’s make today great on pupose!

Life is kind of funny.  We all have goals and dreams.  Still many of have not met up with our desired reality yet.  In fact, at times it appears that we are so far away from where we want to be that it becomes sickening.  It can be so heartbreaking that it sucks the joy out of everything that we do.  If that is where you are, it’s time to reboot!  Refocus on your goals.  Don’t worry about the distance that you think is between you and your goal.  Use all your energy in taking the appropriate steps get there.  One step at a time is all that is needed to reenergize life.  Taking those steps and seeing that progress will change your perspective on everything.  Those tasks that were once so burdensome, will now be the motivation that will put you on the collision course with fulfillment.  Take the first step and…

Preparation Is Golden

There are many opportunities that will come your way.  The tragedy is when an opportunity is presented, but we are unprepared to take advantage of it.  It is our job to ensure that whenever opportunity calls, we are ready to answer.  Practice and prepare, then practice and prepare some more.  When the time comes, we’d would rather commend ourselves for yesterday’s work, than to have regrets for the lack there of.
